Uhlich Children's Home provides care to abused, neglected and troubled children through:
- Residential Care: While seeking to secure a permanent, nurturing and stable living situation for each child in its care, through foster care, adoption, or when appropriate, a return to the child's family of origin.
- The Uhlich Academy: Uhlich operates an approved therapeutic day schoolffor kids who have found it difficult to succeed in traditional public or private school environments.
- Community Programs: Uhlich's Community Programs are diverse programs that develop and coordinate resources within communities to help more than 600 children and families succeed through - Professional Foster Parenting, Independent Living programs, Vocational Training, Family Centered Services, Hands Without Guns-Chicago, and the Teen Parenting Service Network.
- Midwest Family Resources: Midwest Family Resources serves more than 1,400 children and adults annually with professional staff of 30 psychotherapists that provide psychological evaluations, diagnostic assessments and outpatient psychotherapy.
