The Evanston Mental Health Board is a part of local government in Evanston. As the local mental health authority, the MHB is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective mental health programs for people who have, or are at risk of having, mental and emotional disorders or problems, developmental disabilities and/or substance abuse problems. The programs and services funded by the MHB are to be available to all Evanston residents, regardless of ability to pay.
