The Department of Social and Health Services provides affordable Individual, Couple and Family counseling to residents and non-residents of Downers Grove. D.G. residents and students of school Districts 58 & 99 are eligible for a sliding scale fee based on income and number of dependents. Day, Evening, and Saturday sessions are offered by appointment.

L.C.P.C. supervision groups as well as individual supervision is available. The Department provides information and referrals. A Medical Loan Closet allows free, short-term use of medical equipment for the residents of Downers Grove and the immediate surrounding communities. Please call for availability of items and eligibility. The Homechore Program is available for residents of the Village of Downers Grove seeking assistance with household tasks or interested in providing household services.
