ChildServ was founded as an orphanage in Lake Bluff, Illinois in 1894. Over the years ChildServ has evolved into a comprehensive child well-being agency that provides programs at 20 sites in Cook, DuPage and Lake counties.

ChildServ's programs include:

Community-Building Programs, such as early childhood education, day care, tutoring, youth development, parenting education and support, and immigration and naturalization support.

Foster Care and Adoption Programs, such as therapeutic foster care for children with special needs, home-of-relative foster care, teen mom foster care, and foster grandparent support. ChildServ also recruits, trains and licenses foster and adoptive parents.

Group Home Programs, including three group homes for adolescents in DuPage County (Naperville, Lisle and Downers Grove).
